Taking Back Sunday Played A Wild Show In Somebody's Backyard Last Night

Imagine getting an invite to your buddy's backyard to watch some band play a couple songs on his porch - you show up, and it's Taking Back Sunday?!?! Even worse - imagine turning down that invite?! All time FOMO.

Taking Back Sunday - one of the biggest and most influential pop punk bands of the 00s - went back to their roots last night and played a show in a Long Island backyard, and by the looks of it, it seemed like one of the most fun shows of the year. Guys and girls crowd surfing, moshing, jumping onto the "stage" to sing with the band - and smiles all around.

I'm sure 'Cute Without The E' never hit harder than it did in that backyard - no exaggeration.

I wish more bands did silly shit like that - similar to the Foo Fighters' "garage tour" a few years ago....

I've always wanted to do a crazy house show with Pup Punk, and film it for a music video like this one….

Imagine that?! Crowdsurfing Spider and Zah through somebody's kitchen while Smitty and White Sox Dave open up the fucking pit in the living room?! Dana Beers doing shotguns on the roof and Glenny Balls on the slip-n-slide while Pup Punk rips cigs on stage to 'Killing In The Name'?

Honestly, as the only homeowner in the band, Frankie would be a selfish asshole NOT to throw one of these parties for us before the Summer is over.

P.S. This show actually went down in a member of King Nine's backyard; they're a Long Island hardcore band that RULES, and I had 'em in for an interview a few months back that was a great time. Check it out….
