Kyle Shanahan Is Already Deeeeeeeep In His Bag By Calling The Most Ridiculous Touchdown Pass Ever

Did Shanny do it again or did Shanny do it again? Kyle may be the biggest motherfucker known to man when it comes to trying to pin down who his RB1 is going to be for fantasy purposes (at least the biggest motherfucker since his dad did the same thing back in the day). But that manchild has proven he can sure as shit run an offense no matter who is under center for the Niners.

Most coaches would be worried about calling a pass on 1st & Goal for a QB whose career completion percentage is less than 55% in an admittedly very limited sample size. But Big Brain Kyle knows how to take those lemons and make lemonade by fitting his offense around not only Trey Lance’s strengths but also his weaknesses and running the Interception That Turns Into A Touchdown Play.

Think about it. If you are a coach that constantly has to deal with your quarterbacks getting hurt year after year and had to resort to direct snaps to your running back during the NFC Championship Game, the way to solve that problem is to weaponize bad passes and make them good plays for you instead of your opponent.

I mean it's absurd that this became 6 for the offense.

How did it happen? I don't have the foggiest idea because the cameramen were even juked out of their socks. You know who else won't have an idea how it happened? 49ers opponents because they won't be able to see this play on film either. Football supernerds like Steven Cheah will have multiple angles of it on Game Pass. But not the cheaper NFL teams who don't want to pay the extra however much it is for Game Pass. Okay that was a joke because I'm pretty sure even Mike Brown has a team of guys prepping film for the Bengals. But still an outrageous play call from Kyle Shanahan that is somehow even more preposterous when you see it from the other angle.

P.S. Thoughts and prayers to number 23 if he is on the Raiders roster bubble because I'm pretty sure we might have seen it pop on a play that is going to be watched by millions of people. After a quick Google search, 23 is YaQuis Bertron "Duke" Shelley, which is a hell of a name that deserves at least one more chance to prove himself when he isn't playing against a football witch doctor on the opposite sideline. No chance Al Davis cuts a guy with the nickname Duke just because of one toughhhhhhh preseason play.
