Michael Lorenzen Throws No Hitter For The Phillies And May Be The Greatest Trade Deadline Acquisition In MLB History
Boss. Absolute boss. Career high 111 pitches going into the 9th (I get it, but come on, Topper, might wanna save that wing for Oct) and Sir Michael Lorenzen goes 1-2-3 to secure the No No. Amazing stuff with his family in the crowd, too.
That's now 2 starts for Lorenzen since coming over to the Phillies and he's only thrown 17 innings and given up 1 run with a No Hitter. Bless you, Dave Dombrowski. Bless you hard.
It's also the first no-hitter since Cole Hamels did it in his last start for the Phillies way back in 2015. Ironically had to run back from White Briar Happy Hour down the shore during my absolute heyday of party life to go blog it. And now here we still blogging No-No's after allegedly taking "16 weeks of Maternity leave". Sure. Why not.
