Tom Green Is Living The Dream: Off The Grid, In A Log Cabin, With His Trusted Mule "Fanny" In Rural Canada

The US Sun - Tom Green looked unrecognizable with a full beard and long hair after leaving Hollywood to live in a log cabin in rural Canada.

The actor opted to leave the country to live a more "laid-back" lifestyle after achieving major success in the entertainment industry.

Tom, 50, shocked fans with his new look after he moved back to his native land, distancing himself from the Hollywood scene.

Recently the comedian gave his followers a glimpse at his new life on his Instagram page, showcasing his view of the beautiful snowy landscape while walking his dog, Charlie, near his home in Ottawa.

The film star then took time to answer fan's questions while sitting in his quaint log cabin, before venturing outside to enjoy the cold weather with his furry companion.

The video lasted over an hour of the star taking viewers around with him throughout his home and to enjoy the outdoors.

White Sox Dave has been on a big kick the last few months telling me and anybody else with ears that his dream is to sign a big contract at Barstool, sock all his money away, and when it expires, disappear into the abyss, somewhere out west, off the grid, off social media, and off the internet. Forever.

There's no telling how he would actually achieve this, and I have a feeling if he ever actually did try to leave that Portnoy would pony up some ridiculous amount of money to prevent his little junkyard dog from leaving.

But let's say he did, and he rode off into the sunset and wilderness and pulled a Tom Green. I would be so insanely jealous and simultaneously proud of him.

Because make no mistake, this is the fucking life man.

Leaving Hollywood in the dust, and just clearing your life of all the drama and unnecessary bullshit, and getting back in touch with mother nature. And your soul.

I'll admit as much as I want to laugh off White Sox Dave's dream scenario, it sounds pretty fucking amazing. I think I'm just jealous that I could tell myself and everybody over and over that is my plan and know there's less that 10% chance of it every happening.

But not for Tom Green. He just went and did it.

Clem wrote a blog about Tom Green earlier this year and how there's an entire generation of kids out there who have no idea who the hell he is and that's a problem.

Like the famous Big L line goes, Tom Green was so far ahead of his time, his parents haven't met yet. Tom Green walked so that all these fucking weirdos on the internet with prank shows, and off-the-wall sketch shit could run. We're talking pre Jackass even.

It really is insane kids today have no clue who this guy is.

And if they do find out about him anytime soon, it's most likely not going to be for his brash form of comedy and lunatic gag videos.

It's going to be for photography and/or music.

Yah, you read that correctly.

In a recent interview with Ottawa Magazine, Tom opened up about his newfound lifestyle and how it has helped him become "creatively relaxed" in his career.

"I’ve been developing a lot of new technical and creative skills with my photography and with music. I’m recording an album now. I’m also going to be putting together a photography exhibit, as well, of some of my work that I’ve done as I’ve travelled around in my van," the comic revealed about his future endeavors.

Tom also discussed what drew him towards the wilderness, away from the hustle and bustle of California, which he explained: "There’s a little bit more of a laid-back attitude, lots of green space and outdoor places to go walking without the congestion and some of the negative things that come with being in some huge cities."

The star is happy with his secluded small-town living saying: "When I’m in Ottawa, I definitely feel a sense of being home. When I was in Los Angeles, it was always exciting and cool to be there, but it never really felt like home."

Because it's one of the worst, most soulless places on the planet Tom.

Congratulations on the change and best of luck on the album. We would fucking die to have you come on Barstool Backstage to discuss it. Would love to come to Ottawa and visit the cabin too. Have your people snail mail our people.
