Prayers Up For Matt Damon Over His HELLISH Experience Kissing Scarlett Johansson

NY Post- He kissed — and told. “Oppenheimer” star Matt Damon dished about locking lips with erstwhile Marvel co-star Scarlett Johansson, while on the stump for Christopher Nolan’s smash historic pic. On an “Agree to Disagree” segment forLADBible with Emily Blunt, who also stars in the thinking man’s blockbuster, Damon was asked whether or not you should tell someone when they have bad breath. Blunt and Damon didn’t hesitate to insist that you should always tell someone if their breath smells — which Blunt argued is particularly important while filming “intimate scenes” with co-stars. “There’s an etiquette,” Blunt said. “You’ve got to brush your teeth, use some mouthwash and stick some gum on the roof of your mouth.”

The conversation led Damon to recall the time he wound up kissing ScarJo in a professional capacity, on the set of “We Bought a Zoo.” The former Black Widow played Damon’s love interest in the film.  “I had to kiss Scarlett Johansson,” Damon joked. “Can you imagine how horrible that was for me?” He continued, “It was hell! What happened was we did a shot before lunch and it was this nice little two-shot that ended in the kiss, and it was really good. We went to lunch. She and I both thought it was over, and she ate, like, an onion sandwich for lunch.” “She came in and [director] Cameron Crowe had set the camera up, and it was a tight shot of the kiss … She goes ‘Oh, s—t! I had an onion sandwich!'”

Wow. Just wow. What a TRAUMATIC experience this must have been for Matt Damon that he had to kiss not only of our greatest living actors, but one of the most beautiful women on the planet in Scarlett Johansson while they were shooting their critically-acclaimed major motion picture 'We Bought A Zoo'. In all seriousness though that was an interesting little read above into what goes into the process of a kissing scene in a movie and how people breathes should be getting handled, etc etc since it's a VERY different experience than say a drunk makeout on a street corner after the bar. If you have to sit there on a set in front of a hundred people kissing over and over and over and over your breathe better smell like a goddamn newly-opened package of tennis balls straight from the sporting goods store.

And obviously this was a little funny tidbit that they apparently did do their kissing scene right after lunch when Queen Scarlett are an onion sandwich, but either way glad the consummate professional in Matt Damon put that aside for both his supreme acting prowess and the pure idea of kissing Scarlett Johansson. Good for him. Good for those onions. And most importantly good for everyone on set for getting the shot.

Editor's Note: Glenny is too humble of a person to include the video of him smooching Drew Barrymore at the end of this blog. But I believe Sir Balls and his notoriously soft lips deserve some love for the kiss they planted on a Hollywood actress.
