The Wait Is Over - DeAndre Hopkins Is Officially On His Way To The Titans
Well there you have it. After months and months of mystery and waiting DeAndre Hopkins finally gave us his answer. It isn't New England, not Baltimore, and not Buffalo....it's the two-toned blue of Tennessee. Hopkins is signing with the Titans on a 2-year deal worth $26 million and can get to $32 million with incentives.
It always seemed like the Titans and Patriots were the front runners, but Buffalo was always intriguing as they looked to improve in some way. I guess the money from Tennessee was better which tends to always be the endgame. Hopkins joins Derrick Henry and Treylon Burks as they hope to re-energize the offense. Ryan Tannehill is still at the helm in Tennessee for probably just this season and then they're likely off to the young guys. Might as well give it one more shot with an added weapon on the outside. Burks, Hopkins, Chig, and Henry is a solid group. Not the scariest in the NFL but your defense is not gonna have it easy when it comes to stopping them. The Titans defense was much improved last year and they still have Vrabel as their head guy. In that weak division they're probably the second best team behind Jacksonville.
Nuke is a big time weapon who is looking for a clean slate after a few years in the desert with the Cardinals. Hopefully he's motivated and ready to go. I'm pumped to see him out there on the field. I finally have another use for my Titans #10 jersey. Future Hall Of Famer immediately makes the Titans WR room better, immediately. Titans fans wanted him here bad and we get our wish, get me to training camp now.
