Imagine Golfing At One Of The Most Expensive Public Courses In The Country And You're Staring At A 366 Foot Tall Eyeball

There's nothing like a calm and serene 18 hole golf session. It's probably why basically every Barstool employee has just tried to copy the Riggs boondoggle method and is suddenly a golf content creator. But what about golfing with a giant 366 foot tall eyeball in the backdrop?

Imagine trying to hit a shot with this thing in the backdrop? At this point MSG or whoever is actually in charge of switching it just has to be trolling. We had the NBA summer league ball, we've had space, all relatively normal things thus far. But who is waking up on a Saturday deciding to troll the entire city, especially these poor golfers who spent hundreds of their hard earned dollars to golf in the lower Mojave? How are you supposed to chip with that going on?!

If you had the Sphere 50 years ago, it'd be one of the great wonders of the world. It seems like there's half of the fence on liking it, while the other half are furiously typing away about how the money could have gone to schools or hospitals instead of what essentially is a giant billboard. I for one welcome our new Sphere overlord, as long as it doesn't mess with our boondoggle boys.

It's hilarious that it took purely hating golfers to get people on the side of the Sphere, just search it on Twitter:

All it took to get people on board was irritating rich people golfing in the middle of the dessert. Hilarious stuff. I can't wait to see what the next design is.
