Cinderella stories in sports are great. Chris Eubanks, a 27 year old American who has struggled on the tour for years, finally breaking out and making a run at Wimbledon is an awesome story to root for. From being ranked in the 160s a year ago, to joining the Tennis Channel as a part-time analyst because he was so bad, to now being ranked 31st in the world. Dude's life changed in a span of a few weeks thanks to beating the likes of guys like Cam Norrie and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

So what changed? The viral conversation he had with Kim Clijsters early in the grass court season seemed to be a turning point.

But now we're learning there may have been some extra motivation in the stands.

Chris !!!!

Tennis coaching is great and all, but Teanna Trump in the stands cheering you on? Yup, it all makes sense now. Kinda shocked he didn't end up winning the whole tournament altogether. What a sight that'd be at Wimbledon if he won it all. I think that'd be a final confirmation we're living in a simulation.

Can't wait for the US Open, please remember to stretch Chris. Can't be having any injuries before New York.
