Skells Of The Week : These Two Guys Who Lifted Putters From A Pro Shop

Lowest of the low. What a joke. Golf culture is the most respected in all of sports because there is an element of class that comes with it. You tuck your shirt in, you speak softly, you don't walk in other people's lines, you root for each other, you give compliments, and the biggest of all there is an honor code. Some days it's just you out there with the grass so at any point you have the opportunity to make up what happened. You can say you shot a 75 and unless anyone was out there for the 18 ... there's no proof. But the thing about golf is people (well at least people with any self respect) don't do that. They play it straight. Take me for example... I shot a 108 last week, and I admitted it. That means I gotta be playing it straight because who would lie about shooting a 108?

That's what makes this video so upsetting. First off stealing is the worst, especially after seeing what small businesses went through with COVID and all the hardships it put on them. A lot of mom and pop shops were closed for periods of time with no big endless checkbook to support them keeping the lights on. Golf courses are mostly privately owned, and the people working in the pro shops couldn't be nicer and they rely on that income to help improve the course. And these two bums come in and jack a pair of putters without a care in the world. Disgusting and goes against everything I've learned to love and respect about golf. Honor, honesty and respect. Not for these two. Out the window. Losers. Skells of the week... maybe of the year.

If you live in the area of Ferndown Forest Golf Course, or find yourself in The UK  go support them ... they need it.
