20,000 AMC Members Have Bought Tickets To See Both 'Oppenheimer' And 'Barbie' On The Same Day

So I get why this became a meme. "Hey everybody, wouldn't it be funny if we all go see Barbie after we watch the story of the most powerful weapon of war ever made in human history?!" That's just classic social media. What I don't get, however, is why people are actually doing it.

Oppenheimer is three hours long. Baseball games are shorter than that now. And people want to tack on another hour and 54 minutes after that? Absolutely not. Call me an old if you want, but I'm not sitting throught five hours of anything.

Also, I want to leave the theater after Oppenheimer feeling like I watched the actual atomic bomb go off. I'm not going to sanitize that by watching Ryan Gosling perform "Just Ken" afterwards.

And to be clear, I have nothing against seeing both films. Go back-to-back days, even. But seeing both of these movies in one night is going to be a hell of a lot less fun than y'all think it's gonna be.
