Pitchers Not Being Able To Throw The Ball To First When They Absolutely Need To Will Always Be Hilarious

Some of the most difficult tasks to ask someone to do: a) solve a rubix cube 2) drunkenly recite the alphabet backwards d) ask a pitcher to throw anywhere but home plate.

Anytime a pitcher is tasked with throwing a baseball to another base that isn't home it's always an adventure. You'd think since their entire profession revolves around throwing that they could do it blind. Instead it looks like they're Stevie Wonder out there. Jordan Hicks throws approximately 120 mph, but need him to lob one over to first? Good luck. They're used to firing full speed from an elevated surface to a man sixty feet and six inches away. Need anything else and it's a coin flip at best.

The Cardinals flipped that coin and suffered yet another excruciating loss. I think their fanbase has called it a season by now, but in the event there were a few stragglers hanging onto dear life, yeah they're gone now. While it very clearly is not the Cardinals year, it might actually be the Marlins'. The fish are now 21-5 in one run games this year. Some real life devil's magic going on down in south beach.

P.S. shout out to the home town official scorer giving Wendle a hit on that

P.P.S. Botched intentional walks are even funnier
