Henry Cejudo Appears To Seriously Injure His Shoulder Doing A Very Basic Demonstration For A YouTube Video

Henry Cejudo unfortunately announced this week that his return to the octagon and August fight against Marlon "Chito" Vera would have to be delayed, due to a tear in his right shoulder that will require rehab....

Honestly, the UFC 292 card in Boston is still sick enough to make up for this fight dropping off - but it still sucks. This fight would've had major implications on the main event of Aljamain Sterling vs Sean O'Malley, it was a great matchup stylistically, and having the King of Cringe there for media/fight week would've been pretty funny too, but I digress.

How did Cejudo, Olympic Gold Medalist and UFC double champ, and arguably the greatest combat sports athlete of all time, injure himself here?

I think Henry Cejudo seriously tore something in his shoulder by lifting his arm up and down for this fucking YouTube video; just a quick slow-motion standing hammerfist demonstration.

I almost can't believe this is true - because that seems like an injury Dave or KFC would suffer, with their twig ass shoulders - but look at Cejudo's face in that video. That wasn't a "That felt kinda funny!" face…..that was more of an "Oh fuck, something just popped." face. I'm sure something aggravated the shoulder right before this, and his motions here were the straw that broke the camel's back, but I'm still gonna think twice before filming my next Tik Tok. I can't wind up in the hospital talking about Baby Yoda rizzing up Livvy Dunne or something.

Just goes to show you that injures can happen at literally any time from any thing. I mean, Daniel Cormier famously threw his back out before a title defense via sneezing, and Randy Orton dislocated his shoulder taking the garbage out. Hell, one of Barstool's most athletic specimens, Nate Dawg, shattered his foot into a trillion pieces stepping out of an Uber. Nobody's safe.

Be careful out there this weekend, folks.

P.S. Check out this interview with Max Holloway we just did!
