I'm Calling Bullshit On Killer Mike Announcing Andre 3000 Has A New Solo Album Coming Out And Then Saying He Was "Just Kidding" Because He Was "Too High"

In a world where hype and anticipation run rampant, it seems that even respected figures in the music industry are not immune to spreading false hope. Recently, rapper Killer Mike stirred up excitement among fans when he boldly declared that the legendary Andre 3000 had a new album in the works earlier this week on Sway's morning show.. Despite the subsequent denial by Andre 3000 himself, let us delve into the perplexing realm of industry deceptions and examine whether Killer Mike's claim could hold some hidden truth. AKA is Killer Mike full of shit?

Hip Hop Wired- "I was stoned out of my mind playing, teasing with y'all," Mike said during an interview with Big Tigger on Audacy’s V-103 on Thursday, the day following his comments. "Y'all done took the joke too seriously." Killer Mike delivered the sad news letting everybody know his first and most important order of business was, stating, "I got a huge announcement to make...Dré ain't finna give y'all no second album," he admitted at the 1:35 mark on the audio player at the bottom of the post. "I was stoned out my mind, playing, teasing with y'all, y'all done took the joke too serious."

Very shady.

Flag on the play.

It's no secret that the music industry is a breeding ground for unfulfilled promises and shattered dreams. By denying the existence of a new album, Andre 3000's team may be orchestrating a classic bait-and-switch tactic, luring fans into a state of longing before surprising them with an unexpected release. It wouldn't be the first time a highly-anticipated project emerged from the depths of denial, leaving fans both frustrated and exhilarated.

One must acknowledge that Andre 3000 is no stranger to maintaining an air of mystery around his creative endeavors. Renowned for his eccentricity and unconventional artistic choices, it wouldn't be out of character for him to engage in a grand game of hide-and-seek with his fans. Perhaps Killer Mike's supposed slip of the tongue is merely a calculated move to keep the myth of Andre 3000 alive and thriving?

But I fucking doubt it.

He's out pushing his new album, Michael, and everybody wants to talk about the fact he has Andre 3000 and Future on a song with him. (Which I wrote about a few weeks ago when it dropped)

Like basically everybody with taste in music, we are all BEGGING for a new Outkast album.

The next best thing? A solo album from Andre.

So who wouldn't want to spill that secret to their boy, on a live radio show or not, during a very upbeat conversation?

Killer Mike said what he said, "I'm flying out in a few weeks to listen to it."

That's not "yup".

Thats a statement referencing a definite and set plan.

Do I think Killer Mike was high during this interview?

I'm not saying no, but he seemed very all-together, and on point. It was taped early in the morning, so unless he rolled out of bed and got high as balls, he was probably sober.

Is Killer Mike so amazing that he could get high as fuck and stay totally coherent and on point? Absolutely.

So who knows?

Cynics argue that the music industry thrives on deception, exploiting fans' emotions and yearnings for profit. In this light, Killer Mike's statement about an Andre 3000 album could be seen as a calculated lie, serving the interests of record labels and promoters who revel in generating unwarranted excitement. By creating a fabricated aura of imminent greatness, the industry can ensure a surge in album sales, concert tickets, and overall consumer engagement.

While it may be tempting to dismiss Killer Mike's claim as a blatant falsehood, we must acknowledge the complex and deceptive nature of the music industry. From misdirection to collaborative mirages, the possibility of an Andre 3000 album lurking in the shadows cannot be entirely dismissed. (Fingers crossed).

Is the new "thing" in music, especially rap music to drop a surprise album out of nowhere?

So that you can thrive off the added bonus of going and staying super viral on social media because of the buzz, helping your stream and album sales? (See, I'm saying man, the music industry is conniving and cunning as fuck).

Would a surprise.

Whether Killer Mike's statement was a well-intentioned mistake or a part of a larger scheme, only time will tell if the elusive Andre 3000 will grace us with his musical presence once again. Until then, fans must brace themselves for disappointment while keeping a cynical eye on the ever-evolving landscape of the music industry.
