Maxx Crosby Covered His Torso With Tattoos Of MJ, Kobe And Muhammad Ali In An Incredible Ink Job That Took 11 Hours

[TMZ Sports]

I'm one of those lames who takes the cliché stance that I don't have anything I'm that adamant about to permanently tattoo it on my body. Then of course I have the classic concerns about how the designs will look when I hopefully someday grow old and flabbier.

For Las Vegas Raiders star pass-rusher/elite athlete/tattoo enthusiast Maxx Crosby, his body is a temple and he's gonna deck that shit out with a variety of all-time sporting greats to remind himself to "BE LEGENDARY". That is also featured in an incredible mashup of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Muhammad Ali.

Here's another good shot of the torso spread Crosby has going on, as he also got a rose, diamonds and a picture of his young daughter as a tribute to her:

All of this took 11 hours to complete, per TMZ, which is where I'm getting all the details mentioned throughout this blog. The "TX" abbreviation from Crosby's home state of Texas and his Raiders jersey No. 98 were tacked on, too.

Obviously Crosby has a warrior mentality on the gridiron, but MJ, Kobe and Ali were all notorious for how competitive they in their heydays. But like, in an outward sort of way. All of them had a killer instinct that was a major part of their legacies and why they had such universal appeal. Although Crosby is a larger human than all those guys, he's not as upfront and in-your-face when it comes to that sort of mindset or personality type. I guess the tattoos are his way of expressing that to a degree, which is cool.

The most I've ever seen Crosby speak out about anything is his journey to sobriety. I think that's awesome and I have immense respect for him in that regard.

It's fascinating how personal these ink-bled stories can be and the type of insight you can glean from people like Crosby who don't go out of their way to invite the spotlight on them unless it's real purposeful.

OK that'll be all for my armchair analysis of Crosby and his rationale behind getting all these done. According to the artist who oversaw this grand design, Andres Ortega at Onder Ink, the whole tapestry is to remind the Raiders star pass-rusher to not lose sight of his quest to be one of the best to ever do it. Fair enough.

Shoutout to Ortega and all the other artists who came together to make this possible. It's still blowing my mind to look at. That it took almost half a day is no surprise. That's a lot to handle, though — even if you're put under like Crosby was here. I will be morbidly curious to see what this all looks like once Crosby is finished playing. Maybe he'll post another shirtless shot to show us. Unless we're overrun by AI at that point.
