The A's Catch A Ton Of Shit But It's Time To Talk About How Bad The Royals Are

All season the A's have gotten absolutely ripped by the media, fans both diehard and casual, and anyone with eyeballs. They have become the ultimate punchline across the league, rightfully so they are terrible. The chaos with the team relocation, fans running boycotts and reverse boycotts, it's been chaos. The Oakland A's are bad …really really bad. However, they have won 7 straight including two straight over The Tampa Bay Rays. At 19-50 they are still abysmal, and will be lucky to win 45-50 games. What's been lost in all this A's talk … is The Kansas City Royals are getting an absolute free pass.

The Kansas City Royals are now DEAD LAST in the MLB at 18-49. How bad are they ?

Here's some numbers …

28th in Runs per game

26th in Total Bases per game

Run differential -104 ….. 29th

Batting Average …26th

Hits per game … 26th

On Base % … 30th

ERA … 29th

K's per 9 … 27th

Opponents BA …25th

Runs Allowed … 28th

Hits Allowed … 24th

BAD … AWFUL …FEEBLE … HORRIFIC. Insert whatever word you want, that's the Royals, And what's very bizzare, is it seems like the betting lines haven't fully adjusted to this. I know I'm a homer for the Reds now holding a 17-1 ticket to win the NL Central, but the game last night was Reds +100 at one point, and the Royals had a guy who was 0-10 on the mound, and worse than that, the team lost every game he started by 2 runs or more. And they were favored ? Again … tonight Reds -115, Royals -103. Am I missing something here ? Why are the A's getting absolutely dogged by everyone and their mother, yet the Royals are worse and seem to be getting a free pass ? What is with this Royals favoritism ? Do people not realize how bad this team is ?

Listen, I'm not a pro gambler, nor an expert but I do think there's value in watching a lot of teams, or watching a few and figuring out the ways to get them figured out. I think it's pretty obvious we have this Royals team figured out and they are bad bad, yet the lines aren't reflecting it. They can't hit, and their pitching is just as bad. I would be jumping on short lines against this team any way I could.

Lastly, the players in Oakland should be screaming back at the media to notice this story. "Hey all you guys do is shit on us like there's only 1 horrific team out there, there are very much 2." Maybe that's not the best approach, but I think you get my point, lay off The A's and start piling on the Royals.
