Contrary To What Marty Mush Says, Cal Ripken Jr. Can Do The Wave Or Anything Else He Wants At Camden Yards

I had to speak my mind of #RipkenWaveGate and the blog that Marty wrote yesterday. I was alerted to a video of my idol, favorite baseball player of all time and close personal friend, Cal Ripken Jr. In the video it appears that Mr. Ripken Jr. was doing the wave at the Orioles game this weekend. Who knows what he's doing though, could be anything.

I was at the game and as always, I refused to do the wave. I do agree with Marty on that part. The wave sucks, it always has. It's not needed at sporting events. It's dumb. If you're one of those people who says "But it's fun!", I respond with "You think raising your hands in the air is fun?". But I digress.

Marty was correct again when he said we need Cal on our side. We 100% want the Iron Man on Team No Wave, but I am here to argue that there isn't one thing Cal Ripken Jr. shouldn't be allowed do to when inside the walls of Camden Yards. He IS Camden Yards. He built this house. It's the best ballpark in the world and he is its daddy, he can do no wrong in this park, He is the common man's common man. A guy who was put on this earth to play awesome defense, hit bombs and show up to work every single day. Because he did all that, he has a free pass. About as blue collar as they get, so if the man wants to kick back and do the wave he is allowed to. He and only he can pull this off.

I'm with Marty when he says the wave should be banned, but no shot that Cal should be asked to leave the ballpark for this. 8 can do no wrong. I'm about as anti-wave as it gets, but if I'm sitting with Cal Ripken Jr. and he asks me to do the wave? I'm doing it. They would do it for Jeter and he was about 1/10th the player and human Cal is. I want it know that I will judge you and talk trash behind your back if you do the wave....except if you're the Iron Man. Let the man wave.
