I Sat Down With Country Artist Breland To Talk About The Worst Philly Sports Choke Jobs, His Collaboration Project with Jimmy Butler, and How He Pumps Out Two Songs A Day

Breland is the fucking man. 

Aside from producing hits that get the bar going like "My Truck"

and "Hot Sauce"

he's a borderline genius. He graduated from Georgetown and worked in the finance sector after school, all while still pursuing his dream of being a musician. A dream he worked his ass off at achieving, holding himself to a standard of writing a minimum of two songs per day. For as long as he can remember.

That is lunacy. 

And also big-time perseverance and self-discipline. 

So seeing Breland collaborate with everybody in the music industry, regardless of genre, is no surprise at all. We're talking Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, Jimmie Allen, Lady A, Keith Urban, Chase Rice, Mickey Guyton, Lost Frequencies, and now word that him and Jimmy Butler, yes - Miami Heat stud, and possible Celtic killer Jimmy Buckets- are sitting on stuff they've worked on together.

(sidebar - Big Tennessee kind of broke this story two days ago and it killed me because I thought I had a serious scoop on my hands here. but fuckin tiktok man… sidebar sidebar - luke bryan is involved in it too but you didn't hear that from me)

Either way, getting to sit down with Breland before his show at the LEGENDARY Joe's on Weed St. in Chicago (his 1st time playing the venue) was awesome. I seriously could have sat and hung out with him for the whole night. He knows as much about sports as any musician I've met, and as I told him, he's the most logical Philadelphia sports fan I have ever met. 

He put on an electric show that night and I'm really excited to see what else he has in store for 2023 and beyond. Including his new EP.

Big things on the way for this guy.
