So this story came out yesterday where national baseball reporter Marly Rivera was fired from ESPN for calling a freelance reporter a "fucking cunt" while on the field at Yankee Stadium. Rivera allegedly had booked some interview time with Aaron Judge before a game and became incensed when Ivón Gaete showed up unannounced to steal her shine.

The "fing c" barb that ex-ESPN reporter Marly Rivera hurled at a female journalist earlier this month was captured on video … and in the footage, obtained by TMZ Sports, you can see it all went down right in front of Aaron Judge.

The incident -- which resulted in ESPN firing Rivera from her role as a national baseball reporter earlier this week -- happened on April 18 at Yankee Stadium … just before New York took on the Los Angeles Angels in the Bronx.

According to the New York Post, Rivera had set up an interview with Judge … but grew frustrated when freelance reporter Ivón Gaete showed up at the same time looking to speak with the Yankees superstar as well.

Now we have video of the entire moment thanks to this timely cameraman. Enjoy.

First reaction? You gotta respect the hostility. When it comes to interviewing Aaron Judge it's a goddamn free for all. Every man or woman for themselves. Step on my toes and anything is on the table. Everyone thinks the reporter business is all fun and games until something like this goes down. Friends becomes enemies in seconds. Words are screamed and tears are shed. It's a battlefield.

All of this happening while Judge is signing autographs and taking pictures for kids is so funny to me.  These two women going to war while he's just smiling and being as nice as humanly possible. I don't think he heard it all going on, but part of me thinks he does and was just keeping it together somehow.

Rivera being all apologetic at first about the language mixup and then 5 seconds later calling her a "fucking cunt" with that eye roll is all-time. Where the hell did that come from? Like I said, friends to enemies in seconds. That initial look from Gaete before realizing the camera was rolling the whole time is priceless. Oh you're gonna call me what? Fuck around and find out.

Now you may be wondering how this warrants someone losing their job. Calling a woman a cunt is certainly not something I'd advise, especially in that kind of environment, but should you lose your job over it? Heat of the moment, dumb decision, you say you're sorry and move on. Getting fired seems a bit much, no?

Only problem? Ivón Gaete is married to the VP of MLB communications.
