Winston Churchill Was A Cocksman And A Wordsmith

I like people who 'talk good' and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Winston Churchill was one of the goodest talkers of all time.

On top of that, he was a legendary booze bag who smoked 10 cigars a day but somehow lived to the ripe old age of 90.

If you look up his most famous sayings, you'll get dozens of results, but here are my 5 favorites…

1) “A good speech should be like a woman’s skirt; long enough to cover the subject and short enough to create interest.”

(Peekaboo!)

2) “When the eagles are silent, the parrots begin to jabber.”

3) After a woman told him he was 'disgustingly drunk'… “I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly."

4) Lady Astor to Churchill: “If I were married to you, I’d put poison in your coffee.” … Winston's reply: “If I were married to you, I’d drink it.”

And number 5…

Reminds me of the late-great Patrice O'Neal…

I love the Venn Diagram involving Patrice O'Neal and Winston Churchill only intersects at "tittie meat."

Take a report.
