An AI Software Made A Song By Drake And The Weeknd And It Kinda Bangs

I go back and forth on what I think about artificial intelligence. As someone who understands how none of this works, I pick and choose which AI developments upset me. For example, I'm relatively unfazed by something like ChatGPT, which is just pulling information already on the internet and repackaging it into the "thoughts" of a seemingly pretty smart robot. But then I see something like this song and think nobody is going to have a job in 20 years.

This song isn't amazing, but it sure as hell ain't bad. The beat is good, the voices sound just about spot on and there are some solid lyrics.

If this is what we can make right now, imagine what kind of AI music will exist in a decade. You could listen to a new Drake album every week as long as you don't care if the songs are "real" or not. I'm sure there will be a time soon that plenty of people's favorite songs by any particular artist weren't actually recorded by that artist.
