Ridiculous Tampa Bay Rays Stat Of The Day: The Rays Have Hit 29 Home Runs This Season.....And Have Only Given Up 20 Runs So Far

What the hell is going on down in Tampa? I blogged about it the other day, Klemmer talked about it yesterday, but they can't stop steamrolling teams. They notched a 7-2 win vs the Red Sox last night and oh yeah, they hit 4 more homers to bring their season total to 29 bombs in 11 games. The Dodgers have the second most homers in baseball with 21, no where close to the Rays and their bomb production. They are absolutely mashing right now.

The Rays currently have 11 different players who have hit a homer this year too, so they are spreading the wealth. Wander Franco and Brandon Lowe lead the Rays with 4 each, Yandy Diaz, Isaac Parades, Luke Raley and Harold Ramirez all have 3 as well. Everyone in a Rays uniform is hitting right and whoever the Rays are playing just straight up aren't scoring.

20 runs given up all season, 20 runs in 11 games. And yes, like I said in my last Rays blog, I know they are playing bad teams. Nats, Tigers, A's and now the Red Sox. It doesn't matter. Holding any MLB teams to 20 runs over 11 games is pretty insane. They blow people out every night and give up very little.

It's a crazy stretch to watch unfold. We're almost 2 weeks into the season and they still haven't lost and just keep hitting tater after tater. Such a fun team to watch right now. There's a legit chance they get to 30 home runs on the season before their opponents get to 25 runs scored. That is insane. I don't think I could do something like this in MLB The Show, they have guys named Luke Raley and Harold Ramirez hitting bomb after bomb and no one can score on them. Idk what kind of sorcery they are doing down in Tampa but it's working. Especially with the bats.
