Michael Kay Cried On-Air For Several Minutes About A Yankees Bat Boy (On The Road) Having Long Hair

When you can make yourself look like an asshole and make fun of a kid minding his own business and doing his job, you gotta do it. Michael Kay took time during the Yankees' game against the Cleveland Guardians on Monday to yell at a cloud bemoan this bat boy breaking the franchise's sacred grooming rules, because that's apparently what the viewers at home were clamoring for.

It seems at the beginning like Kay might just be making an offhanded quip about seeing someone with long hair in a Yankees uniform, given it is something you don't really see. But then he just keeps going and acts like this kid showed up to the ballpark ready to defile The Yankee Way™️.

"Rules are rules. He's disobeying two of them. I think there's facial hair and I think obviously, the hair is below the collar."

Dude, get a life. That kid works for the Guardians — hence the red shoes, which Kay and his broadcast partner also complain about — and is just doing his job. And he's doing his job much better than Michael Kay.

I hope the Guardians have this kid in the other dugout tonight and let him put on the uniform of a team that has won an American League pennant in the last decade and doesn't have dumbass rules being policed by its broadcasters.
