What Is The Better Movie: Moneyball or Ed?

In the first ever episode of DOUBLE PLAY, Brandon Walker and I talk about the strengths and weaknesses of sports movies Moneyball and Ed.

Moneyball tells the story of Billy Beane and the 2002 Oakland A's. Based on the book by Michael Lewis, this Best Picture Academy Award nominee focuses on the challenges that Beane (Brad Pitt) faces integrating analytics into baseball.

The first major film for Matt LeBlanc, Ed is about a monkey who can play baseball. Ed also stars two-time Oscar nominee Jack Warden (who must have been needing money very badly). Not only do you have a chimpanzee playing third base, but you also have one of the worst mothers ever shown on film.
