"A Loaded Leaderboard And A Loaded Gallery!" - Colt Knost After Max Homa Sends The 16th At TPC Scottsdale Into A Frenzy

GET IN THERE, MAX HOMA!!! As many of you know, Max is a big company guy, so it's lit whenever he does anything. Never mind his almost-unbelievable transformation from struggling to make cuts to becoming one of the PGA Tour's true elite players.

The par-3 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale at the WM Phoenix Open is notorious for its raucous atmosphere. Absolute pandemonium. When someone does something dope, it's like a rock concert. And you get booed if you make a bogey or miss a putt after knocking it close.

A little more context to this legendary hole for the uninitiated, courtesy of this highlight reel of gallery madness from Saturday's third round:

How about Colt Knost, though? I've never heard the 16th at Scottsdale described in this way, but the simple, catchy description succinctly captures precisely what that place is like. Just complete belligerence, debauchery and inebriation with some world-class golf that happens to be going on.

Just before that call when Homa canned his birdie, Knost also proclaimed Max could hit World No. 1 in the next couple years. Well damn! That would be epic. Given how hard Max has fought to ascend this high in the game, who's to say he can't push it just a little further? At 32 years young, his presumed golfing prime is right in front of him, and he's overcome so much adversity en route to six wins on Tour and a career-best 12th spot in the Official World Golf Ranking entering this week.

Tons of competition looms for the top spot, which was for so long occupied by that one person. Uhh…oh yeah. Tiger Woods. Speaking of Tiger, he's playing next week. Big surprise: The GOAT has the GOAT moment that I can recall on the 16th:

PS someone tell Colt there's another round tomorrow and by that I mean the tournament not of the purchasing booze alongside friends variety! THIS MAN.
