The list of projects for Saudi Arabia sovereign wealth fund continues to grow. The linear cities, a Premier League power house, sustainable resorts, world's tallest skyscraper, and now potentially soccer stadiums in other countries in an effort to be the second middle eastern country to host a World Cup. Saudi Arabia has an inconceivable amount of money and as much as people would like it to, fossil fuels aren't going away any time soon. For the first time ever Saudi Arabia seems like they're trying to diversify their portfolio and clean up their image. Sportwashing is the latest and greatest thing and the Saudis want a taste of that. And just how fossil fuels aren't going away, neither is corruption at FIFA. I am sure that Mohammed bin Spendin will give as many bags of cash to as many people as he needs to in order to secure the 2030 World Cup bid. He's even willing to fund the projects in other countries to strengthen their chances.
