Everything Coming Up Lions: Calvin Johnson Is Ready To Make Amends With The Team, Officially Trying To Make Something Happen

This right here is how you flip a franchise. Sure, Dan Campbell has been awesome. They hit on draft picks. They got a good version of Jared Goff this past season. But getting Calvin Johnson to squash a beef is as important as it comes. He was one of the greatest wide receivers we've seen in our era in terms of talent and just freak ability. 

There was a report that he would move on if they paid him $1.6 million: 

Seems like a no-brainer. Look at the Lions coaching staff. They are all former players and everyone is buying in. Imagine if you could get Calvin Johnson as the full time wide receivers coach. Hell make it part time wide receivers coach. You'd immediately have a top-5 WR group in the league. 

I say it all the time but no one outside of like Packers fans truly hate the Lions. Maybe throw in the Bears and Vikings. But for everyone else? We all have a soft spot for the Lions. Everyone was cheering for them against the Packers in the last game of the season. We all enjoy Dan Campbell going nuts. They are fun and entertaining. Now you get to the next level by  getting Calvin Johnson. Dude was ridiculous. I'd include highlights but Goodell blocks that.
