What The World Needed - Bill Walton Is Starting An 'Intergalactic' Alternative Broadcast For 5 NBA Games

[Source] - “We’ve got the NBA intergalactic platform,” Walton told The Post. “We’ve got the world’s greatest basketball players. We’ve got the business. We’ve got the entertainment. We’ve got the sports world. We’ve got the celebration of life and health and all good things here. We have fantastic guests. I’m the luckiest guy in the world. We are set for blastoff and the volcanic eruption on Monday night Jan. 23. Seven o’clock Pacific time, be there. Miss this at your own peril. You’ve been suitably warned. I’m fired up.

Hell yes. This is truly the one thing missing in the NBA. Bill Walton - who believe it or not used to call the Finals - is giving us an intergalactic alternative broadcast. Look at that quote. How do you not get excited to hear this? Miss it at your own peril - Walton even warns you.

Now, my one slight complaint here is he's doing it with Jason Benetti. Benetti is great. He has some experience with Walton. But truly the only person who is made to do broadcasts with Walton is Dave Pasch. He's the one guy that knows how to operate Walton more than anyone else. There's no one that has better chemistry with Walton than Pasch. Let Pasch get a little loose and see what happens.

I actually like that this is for Monday games. Bill Walton needs to call the Pac-12 Thursday night game. There's been too much change in my life. Teams leaving conferences. Some games on streaming, some games on different channels. Raft not calling Big Monday. Gus not in the NCAA Tournament. I can't lose Thursday night Bill Walton. It's that warm, cozy feeling that let's me know everything is still normal.

I just hope this is truly uncensored. I want Walton to say whatever is on his mind. The game starts at 10pm Eastern. There are no rules at that time. It's on the NBA's League Pass App. Just let him do whatever he wants. Say whatever he wants. What's the worst that can happen?

I say it all the time, but if you truly don't like Walton calling games you got a dump in your pants. Sure, I don't want him for a huge game. But thanks to Twitter and everything else it's not that hard to follow along with the game. There are plenty of people offering analysis. Walton at least entertains me. That's what I want.
