Stone Cold Looks Ready For Another WrestleMania Return

After spending 19 years retired, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin returned to the ring at WrestleMania last year to take on Kevin Owens in the main event of Night 1, and to be honest - it was fucking awesome

Austin drank like 20 beers during the match, took a suplex on the concrete outside the ring, drove Kevin Owens up the stage on his ATV for a couple suplexes over there, and then hit a buncha stunners and got the win to end the night. It was a fun ass brawl where KO sold his ass off to make Austin look like a million bucks throughout, and out of all the WrestleManias I've attended (which is seven now - 29, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38), I don't think I've ever seen a crowd leaving the stadium happier. It helped that it was in Steve's home state of Texas, no doubt - but I think the general sentiment across the board was that Austin's return was a rousing success.

Almost a year later, with WrestleMania Season quickly approaching yet again, Austin is showing off an INSANE physique (especially for a 58-year-old, holy shit) and certainly looks to be back in ring shape. I mean, the VEINS on his biceps right now are bigger than my biceps will ever be! He looks better at the moment than he did for a lot of his in-ring career!

So with the Royal Rumble only weeks away, I'm starting to wonder if Triple H made the call to the bullpen for his old pal Steve to come back and have another WrestleMania dream match....

Currently, I think the plan is for Roman Reigns vs The Rock to headline either Night 1 or Night 2 of WrestleMania in Hollywood (as long as The Rock is in, which has been the big question for months) and if Cody Rhodes can be back from injury in time, I think he's an easy pick to headline whichever night The Rock ISN'T on.

Some fans think Cody will actually win the Rumble, setting up a scenario where Roman works both main events - one for the titles against Cody, and one to prove who the real "Head of the Table" is against The Rock - but where does that leave Steve Austin?

Who could he potentially work against?

BRRRRRRRRRPAAADOOOOOO

HOW ABOUT JOOOOHHHHHHHNNNNNNNN CEEEEEENNNNNNAAAAAA?!

That'd be a hell of a dream match, huh? I'm not even sure either guy would have to take a bump until the final three-count, because a crowd would eat up that staredown for so long it could go on for ten minutes! I definitely think he'd make the most sense, though.

Cena just came back to work a match on SmackDown last week, and was at one point rumored to have a program with Logan Paul at WrestleMania this year, but with Logan on the IR, why not break that glass and fire up Option 2?

If not Cena, though - how about Seth Rollins, who has been doing some of the best work of his career lately? Rollins obviously proved any rumors that he "wasn't a safe worker" wrong in that Hell in a Cell match with Cody Rhodes (where Cody worked with a torn tricep), and a match with Austin could almost be a reward for the 2022 he had.

Brock Lesnar would obviously be another big attraction name, who Austin has an infamous history with, but I don't think Lesnar-style matches are great on a 58-year-old's body - especially one with prior neck issues.

There's not many other names on the current roster that make a ton of sense to me otherwise, but you never know what'll happen.

If Austin comes back this year, how would you like to see it done?! And who would you like to see him face at WrestleMania?! Let me know.

Here's some stunners….
