The Perfect Crime: Three Men In Brooklyn Robbed A Brinks Truck Of $300,000 After Distracting The Driver By Asking For Directions

Fox News- A team of New York City thieves stole $300,000 from a Brink's armored car in a scheme where they distracted the driver by asking for directions, police said.

The driver was making a money drop at a Chase Bank in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn at around 1 p.m. Friday when two individuals asked him for directions, according to the New York Police Department.

"While the employee was distracted another unknown individual quickly removed a bag that was left unattended on the bumper of the armored Brink's truck and fled the scene on foot," the NYPD told Fox News Digital on Sunday.

Look, as an admittedly cream cheese soft blogger, I am not a fan of stealing from people or committing crimes unless I'm doing hoodrat shit with my friend while playing GTA.

THAT BEING SAID, we have all had the same dream whenever we see an unattended Brinks truck sitting there with the engine running, ripe for the picking. You start dreaming about just how quickly you could sneak those bags of cash out, get in your car, and the world would be none the wiser. Well these three young men lived that dream, which is no crime. It's not just me saying that. It's the NYPD.

"They just distracted him while talking to him," a police spokesman told the New York Post, adding that there's no sign this was an inside job. "It was a crime of opportunity. Someone saw an opportunity."

There you have it. This was simply a crime of opportunity! The only thing these three men are guilty of is a crime of opportunity in the Land of Opportunity. I mean this is still America, right? Think about how many people settled in Brooklyn after going through Ellis Island, praying to their Gods that they could find an unmanned Brink Truck Wagon full of cash to live the American Dream since the roads here were most certainly not paved with gold. All these young men did was take that dream, sprinkle a little Crooklyn scheming on top by coming up with the directions scheme, and they walked away with $300K.

If these guys get captured, they should be allowed to keep the money or at the very least avoid any jail time since losing hundreds of thousands of dollars is worse than being in a New York City jail.

:thinks about it for a second:

Okay that's probably not true. But I still think they shouldn't be thrown in the clink nor should the Brinks driver should get even a slap on the wrist at work because they all allowed us to continue to dream that impossible dream every time we see a Brinks truck out in public.
