Peyton Hillis Needs Prayers: Football Guy Of The Week

Congratulations to this week's winner Blaine Gabbert for rescuing drowning helicopter crash victims.

Now for the last regular week football guy nominees of the year:

1. Rex Ryan

It takes a lot to make Football Guy cry. Football Guys usually suppress crying from physical pain from a young age. The Damar Hamlin story shook all of us to our core. A guy like Rex breaking down on live television is just a football guy feeling for other football guys.

2. Peyton Hillis

The Damar Hamlin scenario largely overshadowed this story of heroism, but Peyton's self-sacrifice to save his children is not only a football guy move but a huge dad move. Will Burge covered everything much more in depth. Sending prayers for Peyton Hillis' speedy recovery.

3. Damar Hamlin

Look, if I didn't make Damar Compete for his win this week, that would be against football guy principles. Competition is the driving force behind football also; if I didn't do this, I wouldn't be doing my job. Damar literally died on the field and the first thing he asked when he woke up is "Who won the game". He literally died and the first thing he asked was who won the game that they canceled because HE ALMOST DIED.

4. Bills Training Staff

The Bills' training staff sprung into action when Damar did not get up last Monday night. It was a scary affair and could have been much, much, worse had it not been for these guys swift action and execution of CPR to revive Damar without a heartbeat. Without these guys I probably would not even be writing a Football Guy of the Week anymore.
