The New York Knicks Are The Hottest Team In The NBA

The New York Knicks are on a seven game winning streak and the hottest team in the NBA. They overcame a six point deficit with under two minutes to play last night in Indiana led by PG Jalen Brunson's 30 points to go along with Julius Randle's 25 point 14 rebound effort. RJ Barrett had a nice game as well with 24 points. While that may not be a Miami Heatles level Big 3, that group has carried the team during this win streak averaging a combined 49 points per game. The orange and blue are also giving up a stingy 98.3 points per game to their opponents during this run which has been key to their success.

On the surface, the major changes have been Quentin Grimes has been playing well in his starting role back from injury. Grimes missed the first couple weeks of the season and had been playing very sparingly in his return in early-mid November, but he's really come on of late, averaging 12.0 points per game and shooting 44% from downtown in December.

They've also found a really good rotational piece in Miles "Duece" McBride who provides a steady presence off the bench and Mitchell Robinson has been doing an excellent job playing his role as a rim protector and rim runner.

But the biggest change I've noticed as a prop bettor is Julius Randle shooting way more 3-pointers. Prior to this win streak, Randle was heaving it 6.52 times per game from distance at a 33.3% clip. During this win streak, he's shooting it 10.14 times per game. His percentage is basically the same at 33.8%, but he's willing to stretch the floor and give more space to other guys who can penetrate and create like Brunson

and Barrett.

Luckily, we were able to hop on that train early and get in on Julius Randle OVER 2.5 3-pointers made while it was still ripe.
