The Best Thing About Soccer Is Easy To See

I'm not a big soccer fan. Except Spain in the World Cup. Huge. Vamos Espana! But only because I got them in The Yak World Cup contest if I'm being honest. I didn't watch the US beat Iran today to get into the knockout stage, but due to the Cyber Monday sale, my desk was temporarily relocated to right outside the gambling cave. I couldn't really see in because of the flags and signage up, but even as a guy who doesn't really care about the World Cup, I admire one thing almost more than all other sports about it.

The camaraderie and fan passion. That is never higher, in any sporting event than the World Cup. It's honestly awesome to see. It makes me kind of want to like soccer. There are a lot of cool parts about it. The games being basically exactly two hours, relegation and promotion in between leagues, and the fact it's the top sport in the world really. I live in a bubble being an NFL & NBA fan in the US and that's really the tops here, but all over the world this is the main shit. So it's really cool to see EVERYONE from a country get behind their team and that being legit THEIR team. Like when I see stuff like this go viral I get such fomo.

I am a Knicks and Buccaneers fan. I grew up in New Jersey, so kids around me liked the Nets or Knicks and the Giants or Jets for the most part. I would never be in a room of JUST Bucs fans watching a game all together. Not back then. Not even now really unless I'm in the stadium. So that's why I'd think that the fan passion is the top thing about soccer.

The Barstool Chicago guys had Sam's Army and Troopz on this week for the Dog Walk Draft to draft their favorite things about soccer. Check out the full show here and be sure to subscribe to the Barstool Chicago YouTube.

And if you've already seen it, be sure to vote who you think had the best draft!
