I Sang "Rockstar" On Stage With Nickelback and It's So Weird Realizing You've Peaked In Life

Welp. That's it. I've peaked. It's definitely a weird feeling waking up and telling yourself that you've officially peaked, but that's what happened to me this morning after the events that conspired last night at a concert held by the most played on the radio & greatest rock band of the last 20 years.

So for a little back story I fucking love Nickelback. They're in my upper pantheon of musical acts along with folks like Billy Joel (obviously), Hootie & the Blowfish, and so on and so forth. One of my favorite stories to tell was a little over 5 years ago I was tailgating Nickelback at Jones Beach Theater and got a drinking ticket because I was a month off from being 21. Had to go to court twice. Pay for a lawyer. 7 hours of community service. All for Nickelback. Shoutout to This day in BSS for remembering this!

And you know what? That ticket was well worth it because Nickelback is fucking phenomenal and they were just as good 5 years later last night. The new bangers like San Quentin, Photograph, How You Remind me, and so many more hits sounded literally enlightening. The only problem was they let this big dumb idiot sing Rockstar with them which was literally the best moment of my life and I haven't stopped smiling but I'd like to apologize to anyone in attendance for having me ruin Rockstar for them.

Finally I'd just like to say if you don't like Nickelback you're a dork. Insane music. Nicest human beings alive. What a band. What a setlist. What a concert. Nickelback FUCKS. Check them out on On The Guest List this week too!!
