The $EBR Crew Is No One Trick Pony, Group A World Cup Breakdown And Winner
The $EBR crew is known to be a problem for the Barstool Sportsbook with our winning ways in European Hockey and the NHL mostly …but the World Cup is starting and running for a month which provides many things.
A. More action to get us through the workday.
B. Another opportunity to start building the bankroll for holiday present shopping.
C. Learn more about the most popular sport in the world.
This is a preview blog about the group format that starts off the tournament and $EBR will give group winners with odds from the Barstool Sportsbook. I may have not said this but I love football. It truly is a fantastic sport that allows you to zone out for 90 minutes without commercials and relax. Now I know the times in the states will be tough with the West coast having the early wake-up time at 5 am but come on it's the World Cup.
This blog has something for everyone. Whether a gambler who only wants to win, a new fan of soccer looking to enjoy and learn, or an American who wants to see the boys make a run. So enough already Murls let's get to it… EVERYBODY RIDES!!!
$EBR World Cup Preview: Group A
Teams: Netherlands, Senegal, Ecuador, Qatar (host)
Team Breakdown with odds to win group:
Netherlands: -225 - This team is the class of the group, all of the players all play in the top leagues around Europe. They are a defensive-minded team that will be strong on all free kicks and a great midfield. Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool) is arguably the best defender in the world. This team will win their group.
Goal Scorer: Cody Gakpo, a young forward for PSV in Eredivisie has 9 goals in 14 games.
Senegal: +450 - An African nation that booked their ticket through a penalty shootout in the last game. This team plays an up-tempo game and is physical. They are not as well structured as some of the other teams but make up for it with their intensity. They are known as the Kings of Africa and will look to maneuver past the first round.

Goal Scorer: Sadio Mane, the Bayern Munich striker may miss the first game, but when he's in the lineup he's always sniffing goals.
*3 hours after publishing Mane was ruled out for the whole tournament, Senegal is screwed now.
Ecuador: +550 - Ecuador is a good team but not to the level of this competition. They only have a few players that play in the top tiers of the world leagues and lack depth for this grind of a tournament.
Goal Scorer: Enner Valencia, the all-time leading scorer in the team's history will need to go on an absolute heater to help his team but he is crafty in the box.
Qatar: +1300 - The host country always gets an automatic invite and this team is a startup. They play a fun style that will see goals in their games because they can not compete with the teams but will look to upset one or two. The best play for this team will be the over and I will be surprised if they get a win at all.
Goal Scorer: Ali Almoez, the host country’s leading goal scorer and showed flashes when Qatar played games last summer.
$EBR Group Winner: Netherlands
