Every Single Thing About The Barstool Sports Invitational Is Amazing All The Way Down To The Basketballs

I mean look at those fucking basketballs emblazoned with the Stool & Stars. They're beautiful. You will have to excuse me while I wipe a tear form my eye.

Today history will be made as the Barstool Sports Invitational invades the Wells Fargo Center in Philly and you can watch all the action at Barstool.tv starting at 4:45pm.

This is as legit as it gets. Media companies pay billions of dollars for live rights to sporting events. They throw their best play-by-play folks in suits, make a bunch of fancy graphics, and showcase the best athletes in the world with professionalism and dignity. This is just like that except our best play-by-play guys are Pres and Big Cat, the graphics are way cooler, and as long as you consider the Yak running full court and making fools of themselves professional then this will be professional af.

Jelly Walker having seen Yak Basketball on Twitter and not dismissing it as just a clip from an adult special needs school out for recess is amazing in itself. But the fact that Rone will be chasing down Kate in front of thousands of people and two undefeated basketball teams is 10x crazier.

I mean really think about how nuts all of this is. In just a few short years Barstool went from Highlights Without Rights to broadcasting two NCAA basketball games while the entire college basketball world grits their teeth and watches.

I'm not sure what I am most excited about. The fact that the guys calling the game are also betting on the game, Big Cat singing the National Anthem, Yak Basketball, the questions at the post game press conferences, the content that will produced from the arena, watching Brandon Walker juggle the nuts of Mississippi State staffers on the sidelines, or just the fact that we all know how much this probably pisses off the suits at the other sports networks.

Of course the entertainment value will be through the roof but don't sleep on the attention to detail. The graphics and events teams have worked tirelessly to get this thing home. As a guy who worked in NBA arenas covering teams for nearly a decade I can say this presentation is the tits.

Nadu putting on a dribbling clinic…

And Jeff D. Lowe knocking down midrange jumpers with 24k Gold Eye Mask stickers on….

What a magnificent scene indeed.

Give me Toledo +5

Miss St -6 and Under 128

And I'll take the over on how fucking awesome all of this is.
