Week 10 CFB Underdogs - Sorry in advance

Basketball season is right around the corner, but we’re still looking for outright underdog winners in college football….After a horrific Saturday we’re in need of a bounce back. And sometimes that requires just seeing the ball go through the hoop. Unfortunately the teams I picked are no easy layups.

Considered a few other dogs this week, BYU, James Madison, Virginia and Liberty, but ultimately decided on the ugliest ones I could find. Sorry in advance!

Miami +8

Cristobal and his team managed to look like Iowa last week versus Virginia, finally pulling away in the forth over time in a field goal fest. So why am I backing them this week? The one thing this team does right? Stop the run. That’s good news for us. The Noles are one of the most penalized teams in the country averaging almost 8 penalties per game. I believe that will be the difference maker in this one. Give me the Canes +240

Texas Tech +8.5

I’m sure to catch some hell on this one, frankly I tried talking myself out of it several times this week, but I can’t get past the value with the Red Raiders. I know they looked flat after turning the ball over four times last week versus a scrappy Baylor team but they do have some impressive wins under their belt. After last week you know how I feel about TCU. +260 Wreck Em Tech.

UNLV +6.5

UNLV off a bye week. QB Brumfield is back after missing the last couple games. Could his return could rejuvenate the Rebels offense and get this team a bowl bid for the first time in two decades? Maybe. The kicker? San Diego State is 1-7 ATS as a favorite and has been out gained in almost ever contest this year.  +190 with Las Vegas.
