The "Yellowstone" Season 5 Trailer Is Out And I've Got Goosebumps

There's just something about Costner's voice as John Dutton that gives me a chill. That gravel in there from years of dip, whiskey, yelling at children, herding cattle, and fighting enemies. I need new TV. Dragons I cool, but I prefer horses. This show coming out in Mid-November is perfect timing. I should need reprieve from Bears, Blackhawks, Notre Dame, and Forest (I do already) and if there's one team that never lets you down and never loses it's the Duttons. This trailer got me so excited that I already forgot how much I hated the entire Jimmy storyline last year. Circle the wagons around the immediate family and let's ride.

Kind of interesting how there are some parallels between Dutton and Tommy Shelby. A couple of renegades who would scheme and lean on people to protect their family business and as the show goes along they transition into genuine positions of power in the government. Bigger fish, bigger ponds, same problems.

Only problem is where does Dutton go from here? President in season 6? Do they kill him off? Taylor Sheridan can write until the cows come home but it does feel like something huge has to happen to push the story forward. Or maybe this is the end. This is what Sheridan said about the series in July 2020

Well, I know how it ends. I know how the series ends, and you have to move in a straight line toward that end. You can’t walk in circles, waiting to get there, because the show will stagnate. So, you have to keep moving forward, and there have to be consequences in the world, and there has to be an evolution toward a conclusion. Can that be another two seasons beyond this? It could. I don’t see this as a procedural show. So, it’s not something that we could extend indefinitely. I don’t think anyone would want to do that; you’d cheapen the product. I haven’t had that conversation with the network or the studio yet. I’m sure it’s coming, but I would think that you would want this to end on an upswing as opposed to a plateau or a descent

"We are working towards a conclusion..."

Feels like it ends in season 6 based on this quote. Soak up that mountain air while we can. See ya in November
