The Celtics Tribute To Bill Russell Was Perfect

To kick off their season, the Celts are rocking their City Edition jerseys which are a tribute to the late Bill Russell

I know Celts alternate jerseys can at times be a touchy subject, but these work. They look even better on TV.

Before tonight's game, the team held their celebration of Russell and there's not much else to say other than it was perfect.

There may not be a better human to ever walk this earth than Bill Russell. Not just basketball player or winner, but human. A true one of a kind. It's still kind of crazy to think he's not with us anymore because growing up I always figured Bill Russell would be around forever. He was a God. Same with Tommy and the other Celtics legends that have passed away recently. 

The Celts have added his #6 to the court which is another nice touch to honor the legend, but you know what works even better? Doing what Bill Russell did more than any other player in the history of the sport.
