Gerrit Cole Shoved In Game 4 Like The Ace That He Is To Save The Yankees Season

With their backs against the wall on the road, a thin bullpen, facing elimination the Yankees needed a money start from their ace Sunday night. Gerrit Cole went on to shove in Game 4 as he continued to exorcise his postseason demons. That start is exactly why you pay the man $324 million. Everything you envision your ace doing in an elimination game he brought to life.

Dominance. Don't tell me it's the Guardians lineup is weak. They are a postseason nightmare who don't strikeout and instead kill you with contact. Cole controlled them all night long and allowed the Yankees offense to put up enough runs to force this bitch to a Game 5.

That final inning with him emptying the tank with fuck you fastball after fuck you fastball was AWESOME

Also fuck you Josh Naylor. What a bananas move to do that celly while still losing. What a tremendous loser.

Harrison Bader on the other hand? I love you.

Aside from Cole, Aaron Boone actually used Clay Holmes tonight and he finally benched IKF for Oswaldo at short. Both good things! I was admittedly concerned of going to Wandy again after throwing 25+ pitches last night, but I forgot how big of balls the southpaws has. He didn't even think to let the 9th inning become a problem.

One negative? Aaron Hicks can we fucking hustle in an elimination game? Be a veteran outfielder and take charge, holy shit.

Game 5 tomorrow night. Jameson Taillon vs. Aaron Civale in an all hands on deck situation. You'll see Shane Bieber in relief probably along with multiple innings from Clase and Karinchak. On the Yankees side Nestor might be able to give you a few. Domingo will be used. Loaisiga can give you a couple. Hopefully Boone doesn't declare Holmes unavailable because it'd be back to back days. All hands on deck for a spot in the ALCS. Let's do it.
