This is not funny but also the funniest stat of all time. I was alive for the 2008 recession and I know it was a horrible time. Crazy take by me I know. This legitimately makes me want to bet the Phillies and take any of my money out of the stock market. This is what Philly known for though. Anytime they can celebrate the Phillies winning the World Series, something shitty happens and everyone forgets about it. Leave it to the fucking Phillies to make the world a worse place by taking home a title.

Phillies fans love to pick and choose how they root for this team. They said that they have nothing to lose but they are paying these players on a shit ton of money to not have anything to lose. You have a legitimate superstar on your team that you have been wasting away for the past couple of years but hey you have nothing to lose. 

When you break it down Phillies fans have to be scumbags since they are essentially rooting for all of our downfalls just to get happiness over a dumb sport. Philadelphians always say that they are just a passionate fanbase, but rooting for America's downfall is just sad now. Smitty needs to address this on Picks Central today because this is a new low. Basically the city of Philadelphia started the Great Depression in 1929, the energy crisis in 1980 and the housing crisis in 2008. It is absolutely disgusting anyone roots for this team. I need to bet on them to win the World Series now just so I can survive the next crisis they cause.
