Thirsty Thursday was always the best night! I have personally tried many times to bring this tradition to Sweden and I will try again today. The $EBR is on an unreal heater and now boots are on the ground for the home opener for Timrå.

The team was aggressive during the offseason grabbing some nice free agents. Most notably is former Timrå top scorer Ty Rattie who scored 21 goals and 47-points last season for them, who you know will be buzzing early.

The big moves have not paid off yet as the team as they went 0-6 in the preseason and have followed that up with an 0-2 start to the season. This team has shown no signs of jelling and we don’t see any reason why they would start to turn it around tonight in a very tough building on the road that is close to being sold out at the time of this blog publishing.

Timrå IK

Timrå also made huge moves in the offseason bringing home 5 players who have played abroad and are loaded up to have a great season. Three of these guys will be top point guys this year in the SHL and you know they all want to show the fans right away they are back and mean business!
