Beto O'Rourke Joins Zero Blog 30 To Talk The Texas Border, Guns, And Individual Liberties

This week, I got to sit down with Beto O'Rourke as he continues his across-Texas campaigning to be the Governor of Texas. I met Beto a few months ago at the oldest VFW in Texas when he was there for a veteran round-up. It's a sprawling building with a vending machine that dispenses delta-8 THC. It's not as good as 3 chi but it's better than nothing and that meeting was one of the first signs of fresh life I've seen at a VFW in a while. We need more of that. Anyway, I went to go hear Beto speak because he was doing an event at the VFW that focused on veterans' issues. I knew Beto hadn't served so I thought the setting was an interesting choice.

He started talking about issues that impact tons of veterans. Issues like the border- and subsequently the Texas National Guard that is stationed there during "Operation Lone Star"-, medical marijuana, access to care medical care, the growing number of unhoused veterans in Texas, and long wait times at the VA. After hearing him talk, it was clear Beto had some fresh ideas on how to tackle those ideas so I invited him on Zero Blog 30 so our listeners can hear those ideas firsthand.

It starts in round 2.
