Florida State's Band Playing Neck After Its Crazy Win Over LSU Is Cruel and Unusual Punishment

The ending to Florida State-LSU was so ridiculous and insane that I didn't even notice the FSU band blasting "Neck" after the Seminoles blocked the game-tying extra point with no time left on the clock. They had played it several times throughout the game, but it just hits different in that spot.

As dejected stadium exits go, I can't imagine many worse than losing a game in that fashion and then hearing your de facto fight song being played by the opponent's band as you file out. Maybe being behind Ben Mintz filming a postgame reaction, but that's about it.

Being a Florida State fan in the Superdome last night must have been a euphoric experience, though. Watching your team beat LSU in Louisiana and in that fashion all while trolling them into the ground is as good as college football gets. Hell, it was so much that we almost lost Coach Duggs.

What a game. Let the (Florida State) band play neck.
