Recruiting Trip - New Kansas State Hoops Coach Shows Up At A Frat Darty Basketball Tournament To Win Over The Student Section

This is a guy who gets it. Jerome Tang is going to be a hell of a coach and Kansas State should attempt to be ready to lock him up long term. This is also part of the game. You have to win over the student section, especially at a place like Kansas State. The Octagon of Doom *can* be one of the better home environments in the country but only when the student section is going crazy. Otherwise it's just a trip to Manhattan, Kansas.

So now Tang goes and shows up to a frat Darty basketball party. Assume FIJI was the one seed. However, this is also next level thinking. I mean if Lane Kiffin claims he found his punter at a frat party, maybe Tang can get a 3-and-D wing. Maybe there's some lights out shooter on the sidelines there Billy Hoyle style. Worth taking a shot.

You want some actual basketball talk? Sure. Kansas State is one of the most intriguing teams this season. They bring in Keyontae Johnson, the former Florida player who was Preseason POY before collapsing on the court. They bring in someone like Desi Sills who played at Arkansas. Bring back a solid guard in Markquis Nowell. There's intrigue on the roster, even if it's a rebuild. Doesn't help they are in the Big 12 which has a legit talk as the best conference in America.

But this is college basketball. You show up to a frat darty basketball tournament and find your 12th man. Next level thinking.
