Dennis Rodman Is On His Way To Russia To Try And Negotiate Britney Griner’s Release Because 2022

NBC - Former NBA player Dennis Rodman said Saturday that he plans to visit Russia to seek the release of Brittney Griner, the WNBA star who was sentenced to nine years in prison on drug charges earlier this month.

"I got permission to go to Russia to help that girl," Rodman told NBC News at a restaurant in D.C. "I'm trying to go this week."

He is more likely to hurt than help, said a senior Biden administration official.

“It’s public information that the administration has made a significant offer to the Russians and anything other than negotiating further through the established channel is likely to complicate and hinder release efforts,” the official said.

If Rodman goes to Russia, it won't be the first time he has conducted informal diplomacy with an international leader who has strained relations with the U.S.

Rodman has cultivated a relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un over the past decade, making multiple visits to the hermit kingdom. He called Russian President Vladimir Putin "cool" after a 2014 trip to Moscow

If you still haven’t given in to the fact that we’re living in a simulation by this point, what will it take to convince you? Honest question.

Who would have thought that in 2022, Dennis Rodman, “The Worm”, author of “Bad As I Wanna Be”, hall of famer, and reality tv star would be the United States’ foremost diplomat?

A couple weeks ago Jerry blogged about how the US was weighing a trade for “The Lord of War” with a player to be named later for Griner.

That seemed like a formality but apparently the Kremlin is more intent on proving a point and using Griner to make it than they are freeing a man of theirs with some of the most blood on his hands the world has ever seen.

Enter Dennis Rodman.

Hells Angels, Kim Jong Un, and Michael Jordan. Dennis Rodman is friends with some of the scariest men on planet Earth so why would it be any surprise that he “knows Putin too well”?

If Rodman is able to negotiate Griner’s release than he not only deserves a hero’s welcome home, but he deserves the congressional medal of freedom, and an official cabinet position. It’s unlikely it happens, but we’re talking about the man who was simultaneously able to convince his head coach, Phil Jackson, the Zen master, to let him take a few games off to go on a bender in vegas, along with Carmen Electra, arguably the hottest chick in the world at the time, to run away with him, along with Michael Jordan, the fiercest competitor we’ve ever seen to be cool with it all and let him do his thing.

The man clearly has quite a way with words.

(His resume only further proves it)

So let’s not jump to any conclusions, and see how this all plays out. It’s not like things could get any worse.
