Ray Allen Debating A Kid About LeBron Not Being The GOAT Is The Most Normal And Relatable An Athlete Has Ever Been

How did we get here? I mean I understand how calendars work, but how did we get to the point where we immediately go to LeBron vs MJ whenever there's a lull in sports? It doesn't matter your age. It doesn't matter your profession - see, Hall of Famer Ray Allen. It doesn't matter where you are. We immediately go to LeBron vs MJ and it's the dumbest argument we ever have. There is no winner. You take one side, people immediately think you're shitting on the other for saying they are the 2nd best.

But this actually is the most normal and relatable an athlete has ever been. Shit, I was in this scenario a couple weeks ago. I was over at my buddy's place and his 15-year old son and his buddy wanted to talk some hoop. Okay, no problem. Then I realized they weren't even old enough to see LeBron which is fucking wild to think about. Then the litmus test was given and they said Kobe over Tim Duncan because Kobe is a winner. That's how you know a basketball debate is over. Noted loser Tim Duncan.

Ray Allen basically turned into every suburban dad + Jason Segel here though.

It's perfect for Ray Allen though. People love knocking him for being a bad teammate or getting in fights with teammates, whatever. Ray Allen is one of the 2 best shooters of all time (fuck you Reggie) and going to talk about both eras he played in.

I just want us as a society to go to a different debate. Can we add a twist or two different people?

But shout out Ray Allen for being relatable here. Good to know he will teach any human at any age about his thoughts on LeBron as a GOAT. If we're going to run this debate every single day until August, do it this way. Go over the top.
