'Starfield' Looks Fucking Incredible! It's The Next Bethesda Game Coming In 2023 And Has The Potential To Become Game Of The Decade

I'm fucking aroused for Starfield and I'm not afraid to admit it! This game has potential to become game of the decade and I'm PRAYING Bethesda delivers a masterpiece.

Starfield has been one of those games we've been hearing about for a while. We originally saw the announcement trailer in 2018 at E3. Since then, the Starfield hype train continues to chug along! This past Sunday at the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase, we were able to finally see some gameplay:

I'm fucking amped and I hate doing this to myself. I continually get my hopes up for new games and get let down. It's a vicious, toxic cycle that I can't break out of. Most people in their 20s are in toxic relationships with exes, but for me it's not the ex, it's video games. Doesn't get much more pathetic than that tbh.

Back to Starfield - it's the same developers as the Fallout series and Skyrim. The potential is THERE for this game to deliver. BUT, gamers have been let down by Bethesda releases in the past.

There's supposed to be 100 different systems with 1000 different planets to explore. Players are able to toggle between first-person and third-person pending on their preference. The game is set very similar to Mass Effect in the sense of space exploration and encountering wild, alien creatures along the way.

There's also an absurd amount of customization within the game. I hope the devs don't get carried away and draw focus away from the meat + bones of the game. Obviously, more customization is always better when incorporated properly.

Starfield has already been delayed, as it was originally supposed to drop this year. However, I really don't care about video game delays unless it's last minute. Perfect example was Battlefield 2042 - the game was supposed to drop before Call of Duty: Vanguard (little first mover's advantage from BF). Then outta nowhere, Battlefield 2042 delayed its release a moth before the original drop. Huge red flag! Only projects that are set to be complete failures get delayed a month before release. And well, the rest is history for Battlefield 2042…

So the MRags stance is always as follows: if a game delays production in advance, that's a GOOD SIGN. I'm sick of games flopping at release. I'm sick of game breaking crashes on release week. Delays in advance give the developers time to perfect their game (hopefully). So, Starfield delaying is a good sign.

In my meta man Instagram video above, I compared this game to the flop that was 'No Man's Sky.' Notoriously, this game sucked ass at release. There was no meat and bones to the game, but the concept was very similar to Starfield. It's outer space themed and there's a lot to explore. When you started playing the game, you release that most planets are weirdly similar and there isn't much of a challenge to the game. So, it really struggled at release. People are claiming it's in a better state now, but games need to drop and be fully ready for players. Gamers don't want a half-released game that we have to wait months or years to fix. Compare a No Man's Sky alledged redemption story to the masterpiece of Elden Ring. Sure, there were a few screen tears when originally playing Elden Ring, but the overall game was ready upon release and the game kicked ass!

So for now, we'll keep waiting for Starfield to drop. I need another RPG that I can sick a disgusting amount of hours into! One of my favorite RPGs of all time is Fallout 3. I'm really hoping Bethesda can bring the clock back and unlock that same Fallout 3 magic. Fingers crossed!
