AWESOME: Christan Eriksen Scored On The Same Field He Collapsed On 290 Days Ago, Continues The Best Story Currently In Sports

I can't underestimate this story. The fact that Christian Eriksen is even playing soccer, let alone at this sort of level, is in a word, incredible. That's just the truth. There's nothing hyperbolic about it or trying to be funny here. Christian Eriksen collapsed on this same field 290 days ago. Not even just collapsed, he said he died for five minutes. 

Now he's playing for Brentford in England and back on the Denmark National Team. Shit, he scored just minutes he came on during the last match against Netherlands on Saturday. 

And now he scored on the same field he collapsed on. Ridiculous. He's currently the best story going in sports. This isn't coming back from injury. This is coming back from something of nightmares. This isn't rehab after an ACL tear or some nasty injury like that. This is something with your heart. Again, he said he DIED for five minutes. Not even a year later he's scoring for his national team. 

It's a great goal too. Nice little touch to get himself set up then just a screamer right outside the box. I miss him on the Spurs. Can't lie about that. Denmark already qualified for the 2022 World Cup, now here's hoping Eriksen finds his way there too.
