Just When You Thought This Year's Grammy Awards Couldn't Be More Irrelevant, They Have Pulled Kanye West's Performance Because Trevor Noah Is A Little Bitch

The Blast - Kanye West has been scrapped by The Grammys for his performance this year, after what insiders are calling “concerning online behavior.” But, musicians and friends are supporting the rapper over the questionable decision.

According to sources close to the ‘Donda’ rapper, his team received a phone call earlier this evening, informing him he has been pulled from the line-up of performers for the show.

Insiders say the Awards show is  “unfortunately” taking this position “due to what they deem to be concerning online behavior.” Plus, Kanye’s recent ban from Instagram didn’t help the situation.

We’re told the decision was made partially because Trevor Noah is hosting the night’s festivities and there is worry about the two men’s interaction during the show. As we reported, Kanye responded to Noah after he addressed the rapper’s split from ex-wife Kim Kardashian. “I’ll be honest with you — what I see from the situation is a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything,” Noah said.

The Grammy situation spread to other artists, including rapper The Game, who defended Kanye West on his social media.

“Could be because (Trevor Noah) is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown, especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions…. We’ll just say it’s all of the above & a continuous disrespect for us & all that we have brought to the table in entertainment, media & sports over the last 100 years especially.”

Can you say clown show?

There was a ton of Kanye drama at the end of last week which spilled into the weekend.

I’ll touch on that but first a little background on th

As reported by the venerable Barstool Backstage back in January, the Grammys were indefinitely postponed.

I had a theory that because all of the nominees sucked so bad, and with the actual show on the ropes from a viewership standpoint, “the academy” did the smart thing and was just going to scrap the whole thing and come back roaring next year with an XL show.

But I gave them too much credit.

They rebranded the show by slapping Las Vegas on it, moving the date as well, and contracting some very yawn inducing talent to perform.

Wanna know who is performing? - Billie Eilish, BTS, Lil’ Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, and Jack Harlow.

Is this a Kiss FM Jingle Ball or the premier award show for the music industry?

Well, when you think things couldn’t possibly get worse, the Grammys found a way to outdo themselves.

For starters, they hired one of the most forgettable hosts possible- Trevor Noah.

I realize Trevor Noah gets a lot of hate. I never understood it until recently. I admittedly never watched any of his standups, and haven’t seen The Daily Show in years.

But it was on during a United flight I was on a couple of weeks ago and holy moly was it bad.

Not just corny jokes backed with canned laughter bad, but awkwardly bad. Like watching a live comic bomb on stage.

Is that how the Daily Show is every night now? If so, yikes.

How Trevor Noah factors into the Kanye mess is a little complicated. But follow along-

Early last week Kanye went off on Pete Davidson on social media in what seemed to be retaliation for Davidson leaking “private” text messages between him and Kanye.

It began with Kanye bringing up a wicked cringe joke Pete Davidson famously made regarding having sex with a baby.

Seemed like a pretty fair point for insisting you don't want him anywhere near your children.

Then he started in on the Hillary Clinton thing again

Then he started alluding to his plans for visuals at Coachella…

complete with a beheaded Pete Davidson character.

Then D.L. Hughley got some.

(Sidebar - Wednesday morning saw Kanye share a pair of posts directed at Hughley, whom the Donda and Donda 2 artist previously told “I can afford to hurt u” when responding to comments made about him and Kim Kardashian during a recent DJ Vlad interview.

“This grown ass man picked this outfit out himself Is he influential or under the influence???” Ye said in the first Hughley-centered post on Wednesday. In another post, Ye shared a screenshot of a Hughley feature on the Wendy Williams Show from June of last year, including the aforementioned defense claims in the caption.

Hours later, Hughley shared multiple tweets directed at Ye, again going the route of mocking mental health.)

Kanye then threw a ridiculous shout out to Michael Che in, saying he loves and respects him.

Michael Che has gotta feel like the coolest mother fucker on the planet just being able to sit back and watch the chaos unfold from his lounge chair. Not really piping up or saying shit, but still catching props from one of the craziest people around who also happens to have 5.5 million Instagram followers.

Now where it started to get interesting was when Trevor Noah decided to leave the longest comment you've ever seen on Kanye's post which referred to him as a very racially charged term

Kanye went on ranting again about being pissed his ex-wife is allowing their daughter to be on tik tok and post videos

Honestly gotta side with him here. Tik tok is a FUCKED UP place for anybody, never mind an 8-year-old whose mom is a sex tape queen.

Speaking of Kim Kardashian, she went public with her weirdo boyfriend's obsession with her and mentioned how he got her name BRANDED on him.

Totally normal…

Then on Saturday, The Game took to social media to inform the world that Trevor Noah (allegedly) had Kanye pulled from the Grammys.

To which Trevor Noah quickly defended himself with another shitty joke.

So there you have it. During that time period Kanye was issued a 24-hour ban from posting on social media as well as the Grammy performance slot being rescinded.

But I have a theory.

The Grammys have never been less relevant.

As I mentioned up top, the nominees this year suck, the performers lined up suck, and the public, in general, seems sick and tired of these circle-jerk award shows.

So this is a good way of getting not only some buzz going, people talking about it, and some eyeballs back on the show. But it will literally break the internet and blast the show off if Kanye pulls another T Swift moment and storms the stage and hijacks the mic.

Hopefully it’s that wet blanket Trevor Noah that Kanye is interrupting and ripping the mic from and not America’s new sweetheart Olivia Rodrigo.
