Kevin Garnett Finally Opened Up About Reuniting With Ray Allen At The All Star Break

During the All Star break when every Celtics fan saw that picture above on Pierce's IG, I think it took us all a second to realize what we were seeing. To be honest it warms my heart even now. These three men helped change my life forever, and while the ending wasn't exactly great, seeing them all together will always make me smile.

But I am very different from Kevin Garnett. It's not just the fact that he is a wildly successful basketball player who has made hundreds of millions of dollars and I am a lowly blogger, but the fact that this man holds a grudge unlike anyone I've ever seen. If KG hates you, that's usually it for you. That was certainly the case for years with Ray. Their beef was always such a bummer as the years went by and those wounds healed. I think we all hoped as time passed that things would get better, and the good news is it appears they have. We know this because KG opened up about this picture

Hearing the 08 guys shoot the shit will always be a must watch for me. It never fails. If you asked me how I would think KG would handle this picture and it was 2013, I would tell you that KG probably kicked the shit out of Ray. So to hear how that event actually went down was nice. It appears like their beef truly is over. We know this not just because of that picture and that clip, but what the Celts did in anticipation of Sunday

Now I'll remind you. Ray was also invited to Pierce's number retirement a few years ago and he chose to go golfing instead, so that wasn't great. He did send this IG post though

But now that more time has passed and it seems like KG has finally buried the hatchet, I hope Ray is in attendance this weekend. I think the crowd at the Garden will react differently as well compared to how they would have a few years ago. We've all moved on at this point. My stance has always been to just follow what the players do. If Paul, KG, Rondo etc still have beef with Ray, then I'll have beef with Ray. If they are over it, I'm over it. We can't sit here and pretend like Ray wasn't an awesome Celtic and the fact is they don't win a title without him. Plus, we all know that Ainge wanted to transition to Avery at the two and fucked around when it came to Ray. Last time I checked, that 08 title is the only title I've ever seen while being alive on this planet. I'll forever be grateful to Ray for that.

All I know is I cannot wait for Sunday. It's going to be just as emotional as Pierce's retirement ceremony. Hopefully, Luka doesn't ruin things like LeBron did during Pierce's. That sucked. It would also be very cool if all of the 2008 crew was in the building, most notably Ray.
